January 2024 MEiN Report

The analysis conducted by MEiN in January 2024 unveiled that the prevalent motifs in the narratives were centered around assaults and governance, with an equal distribution of 50% for each theme. Government entities surfaced as the central figures, being spotlighted in half of the narratives, while the media appeared as the exclusive targets of these incidents. This underscores a troubling pattern of hostility toward the media and hurdles in regulation, underscoring the urgency to protect press freedom and tackle regulatory obstacles within the media sphere.
