CEHRD was formed to respond to the environmental, human rights, rural health, and underdevelopment problems plaguing the Niger Delta.

PANOS Institute, West Africa – The Panos Institute West Africa (CAPI) is an international non-governmental, independent and secular, founded in 2000 and completion of a program initiated in West Africa since 1988. He is the first member of the Panos South Panos Council. From its headquarters in Dakar, CAPI operates across West Africa, with performances and correspondents in most countries. PIWA works through information and communication, building a culture of democracy, citizenship and peace.
Search for Common Ground (SFCG) – Founded in 1982, Search for Common Ground works to transform the way the world deals with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative problem-solving. We use a multi-faceted approach, employing media initiatives and working with local partners in government and civil society, to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies’ capacity to deal with conflicts constructively: to understand the differences and act on the commonalities.
Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN) – SDN works to empower those that have been worst affected by the activities of extractive industries, to help them to get a better deal. SDN is piloting its approach in the Niger Delta working with local communities and civil society groups. The Niger Delta is one of the world worst examples of a resource curse. The paradox of the Delta is acute poverty in the midst of plenty. Although billions of dollars of oil wealth flow every year from the region, the majority of communities live for less than $1 a day.
